Ok so I wasn’t sure what the “Cross Movement Concert” was, all I really knew is that it had to do with hip-hop and a bunch of guys. So I had to check out the scoop on these guys and this is what I found..awesome I must say so read on!

The first rapper guy I looked up was Flame, a.k.a. Marcus T. Williams-Gray. Flame is from St. Louis, Missouri and has been following Christ since he was 16. He has released three albums and was nominated for a Dove Award as Gospel Rap Song of the Year in 2007. You can read more about him at his myspace page or on his website.

The second rapper guy, LeCrae, a.k.a. LeCrae Moore, is from Memphis, Tennessee. “From the beginning of his music ministry, Lecrae’s heart has always been dedicated to broaden the fan’s view of who God truly is..and he wants his fans to become infatuated with Jesus Christ.” Read more about LeCrae on his myspace page or at this site.

Da’ T.R.U.T.H., born Emanuel Lee Lambert, Jr., was my next research victim that will be performing tomorrow night. Da’ T.R.U.T.H. also has published three albums and is from Phily. He graduated from The Institute of Jewish Studies and Philadelphia Biblical University. He is the recipient of the 2007 Stellar Award and has been a featured artist on Kirk Franklin’s HERO Tour and also featured in a handful of magazines. He has been involved in urban missions since he was 16. His life question? “Are you living for ONE before many or for many before ONE?” Check out more background on him here or here.

Everyday Process is actually two guys by the names of Mac the doulos & Iz-real.both from Phily/Chester, PA. This Grammy-nominated group is also a part of this 40-day, 40-night tour with the other guys. Their mission is to “use hip-hop as a means to an end, and that end being impacting people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.” They go on to say that “music is just a vehicle for us. It’s simple; hip hop is a genre of music with mass appeal.” You learn more about them on their myspace or their website.

And of course, last but not least, is Tedashii. I never did find out what Tedashii’s real name is, but he also goes by tdot. Born in East Texas, raised in “tha H”, living in Dallas, Texas, Tedashii has released his debut album “Kingdom People” but you may have heard him on LeCrae’s debut album “Real Talk” or on the 116 Clique Compliation album. Tdot says, “Kingdom People, to me, is a look into the practical side of walking out our Christian faith.” Read more here and here.

Well, there ya have it! Great guys, following a great leader! Hope to see you there tonight!
