Doubt and Questioning in the Christian Life (Luke 3:3-9,15-20,7:18-28)
On Dec 30th, 2007, Pastor Adam preached on the life of John the Baptist.
Have you ever asked, “Is Jesus really who he said he is?” If so, you’re in good company – John the Baptizer did, even after witnessing Jesus’ baptism, even after publicly proclaiming Jesus to be “Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world” (John 1:36), even after making the bold claim that “[Jesus] must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30) Yet, John eventually finds himself in jail, definitely not a part of his 20 year plan, and doubt begins to settle in. This message deals with doubt and questioning in the Christian life, and our response to it.

Awesome sermon, Pastor Adam. God has truly blessed you with the gift of preaching. Very appropriate for the end of the year… yet also worth listening to and meditating upon at anytime, and for anyone (Christian or non-believer). I had never really looked at the relationship and dynamic between John the Baptist and Jesus in this way before. Thank you for posting this!
