One of the more interesting websites for me is The Online Etymology Dictionary. A quick search for “doctrine” on this site turns up “c.1380, from O.Fr. doctrine (12c.), from L. doctrina “teaching, body of teachings, learning,” from doctor “teacher” (see doctor)”

This Sunday will be the beginning of the new preaching series titled “Doctrine: What Every Christian Should Know.” Each week in the series will be another teaching on Christian Doctrine, which is the foundation of what makes Christianity what it is.
