Love, Friendship, and Bearing Fruit (John 15:9-17)

Last week we looked at John 15:1-11 that speaks about abiding, pruning and bearing fruit for Jesus. There, Jesus tells us that the Christian life is akin to the relationship between the branch and the vine of a grape vine in that all life flows from the vine to the branch, which in turns bears fruit. Christians are called to a vital organic relationship with Jesus, by faith, through which we receive forgiveness of sin, relationship with God, lasting hope, true joy, transformation of character and ultimately a changed life. One massive change is how Christians are to love one another. Thus, this week we look at John 15:9-17, that speaks about love, friendship and bearing fruit (that abides).

For the King,

Pastor Adam
