EQUIP | WS redemption night

EQUIP | WS redemption night IS NOW OFFERED ON TUESDAY NIGHTS
beginning January 13th, 2009.

What does this mean for those who want to participate in redemption night at West Seattle?

1. Due to some of the recent changes in Ballard’s midweek programming, WS is compensating by making some changes as well. West Seattle will be shifting Biblical Living (Redemption groups and biblical counselor training) to Tuesday nights in the winter, instead of Wednesdays (all other midweek classes and programming will remain on Wednesday).

2. WS participants are still going to be joining Ballard for the weekend intensive (Friday January 9th and Saturday January 10th) to kick off the winter quarter. The first Redemption Night in WS will be Tuesday, 13th.

3. Childcare will still be provided for all of those participating on Tuesday nights.

4. Please register here: http://westseattle.marshillchurch.org/equip-programs-events/ for Tuesday nights. If you have already registered you are already signed up for Tuesdays and please email WSredemption@marshillchurch.org for any changes to your registration, questions, or for more information about redemption night in West Seattle.

5. Please see below for a description of what is being offered on redemption night.

  • Track #1) The General Track is designed for those who need help but are not yet in a redemption group. Participants join the main sessions, receive a copy of the redemption book, and follow the teaching from week to week. We encourage general track participants to walk through the lessons with a spouse, close friend or community group member.
  • Track #2) The Group Track is designed for participants facing trials of all sorts. In a closed group, the participants dig into deep and difficult areas of life while growing in the knowledge of how God changes our lives by the Gospel. Sign-up to get in a closed group by emailing wsredemption@marshillchurch.org.
  • Track #3) The Biblical Counselor Track is designed to train others how to biblically counsel and shepherd. Each night will either be a Lab or topical lecture (interactive).

Important!

Friday, January 9th, and Saturday, January 10th, there will be a weekend biblical living intensive at the Ballard Campus, designed to jump-start the quarter by covering the first three of eleven units in one weekend. All Biblical Living participants are required to attend.

Discipleship Training Program (DTP)

Mars Hill Church West Seattle (MHCWS) has developed the Discipleship Training Program (DTP) to identify, develop and train called and biblically qualified followers of Jesus to lead the mission of our “city” within the city. These are future leaders who are committed to living for Jesus and specifically called to leadership at MHCWS (or beyond) in roles such as deacon, ministry director, community group coach, pastor or future planter (church or campus).
