Small Change on Sundays beginning May 17th | Week Delay Sermons
There are only two things that are constant at Mars Hill – “Jesus” and “change”. Jesus never changes but everything else does. In fact, the next major change is set for Sunday, May 17th, as we shift from live satellite fed sermons to week delay sermons in West Seattle and all other campuses outside of Ballard. Practically, this will mean the sermon seen in West Seattle was preached the week prior in Ballard. All pod/vodcasts will also be week delay. Pastor Mark wrote a post on the Mars Hill blog outlining the multitude of reasons behind this shift, which you can read HERE. I highly recommend reading it in order to answer your questions and alleviate any unnecessary concerns. Ultimately, the change reduces our costs, increases efficiency, decreases complexity, improves our ability to create a unified Sunday experience, and simplifies our ability to plant campuses beyond our time zone. This will be good for us as the people of Mars Hill and for the gospel.
