Tell us about your family:
Carol and I have been married since 2002 with two children, Karis (over six years) and Kaden (five years).
When did Jesus change your life?
Jesus changed my life when I was twelve during the winter retreat. Sin became real and salvation became real. I recognized and received Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
How has your life changed since meeting Jesus?
I have been living for Jesus as a student for Christ and, in college, especially by embodying the truth of Matthew 6:33.
Tell us how you came to be at Mars Hill, as a visitor, member, and elder:
I came to Mars Hill Church as a result of attending the Resurgence Conference in early 2008. I applied for Pastor Training Program at Mars Hill Church that began July 0f 2008. I became a member in the fall of 2008 and began the elder process and installed as elder in March of 2009.
What is your biggest challenge in this ministry?
My biggest challenge in this ministry is learning to trust Jesus in loving people.
What is your greatest joy while serving in this ministry?
My greatest joy while serving in this ministry is to see lives including mine transformed to live for Jesus.

What’s your favorite scripture? Why?
Philippians 1:21 and Galatians 2:20 – these two verses explain who I am.
Romans 1:16 – this verse reminds me of what I value and what I am motivated by
Matthew 6:33 – this verse reminds me of the calling I received and the vision and mission for the ministry I am entrusted with.
